Background
Fred joins the firm from another Toronto based litigation
boutique. He has a broad litigation practice in the above areas,
with a focus on commercial, contractual and employment matters.
Fred is particularly proud of acting for individual
members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in their workplace
disputes with the force.
Fred has also devoted a portion of his practice to
acting for First Nations residential school survivors in relation
to their abuse claims.
Fred has appeared before the Alberta Court of Queens
Bench and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, as well as the
Federal Court (Trial Division) and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
He has also appeared before a number of administrative and disciplinary
tribunals, including the Ontario Civilian Commission on Police Services
and the Real Estate Council of Ontario.
At law school, Fred was a director of McGill's Legal
Clinic, and chair of the law faculty's annual charity show. He also
participated in the Mignault Moot Court Competition, winning a prize
for his written submissions.
